🌴 Riviera San Carlos Community Guidelines

Welcome to Riviera San Carlos Online Community!
This space is designed to help owners and residents share updates, ask questions, and build a friendly, respectful, and informed neighborhood. To keep this community safe and enjoyable for all, please follow these rules:

🔹 1. Respectful Communication

  • Treat all members with kindness and courtesy, even when you disagree.
  • No personal attacks, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or inflammatory comments.
  • Avoid sarcasm and passive-aggressive tones—this is a neighborly space.

🔹 2. Stay On Topic

  • Keep posts relevant to Riviera San Carlos—including community events, maintenance, safety, amenities, and neighborhood life.
  • Off-topic discussions (politics, religion, etc.) are discouraged unless they directly impact the community.

🔹 3. No Spam or Self-Promotion

  • Do not post spam, chain messages, or promotions for personal business unless explicitly allowed by admin (e.g., designated “Community Business Day”).
  • If you’re offering a local service (like handyman, cleaning, or pet sitting), post only in the appropriate section, and only once a month.

🔹 4. Use Clear and Descriptive Posts

  • Be clear in your titles and messages to help others respond or take action.
  • If reporting an issue (like noise, lights out, etc.), provide details like time, date, and location.

🔹 5. Privacy and Safety First

  • Do not post personal information about yourself or others (e.g., addresses, phone numbers, or unit numbers) unless you’re sharing your own info voluntarily.
  • Photos of other residents or their property should only be shared with their permission.

🔹 6. Reporting Problems and Complaints

  • If you have an issue with another resident, try to resolve it privately first.
  • Avoid “naming and shaming” in public posts.
  • Contact the HOA or property management directly for formal complaints or emergencies.

🔹 7. Buying, Selling, and Lending

  • Use the dedicated Buy/Sell/Trade area for personal items.
  • Please be honest and fair in all transactions—this is a trust-based community.

🔹 8. Event Sharing and Socializing

  • Share info about events, potlucks, game nights, or beach cleanups—anything that brings neighbors together!
  • Ask before organizing group events in shared spaces; check with management for scheduling.

🔹 9. Pet & Noise Courtesy

  • If posting about pets or noise concerns, be respectful and constructive.
  • Use pet photos and stories to connect—everyone loves a good pet post (as long as it’s not excessive)!

🔹 10. Admin Rights and Content Moderation

  • Admins reserve the right to remove posts or comments that violate these rules.
  • Repeated rule violations may result in temporary or permanent removal from the group.
  • If you have suggestions for improvement, contact an admin privately.
